John Woodhouse is a Director of Clarity & Partnership Ltd, a company which provides professional and management services in public health and in wider health services. He is a senior doctor who moved from general practice to become a consultant public health physician. Over the last 15 years he has held a series of senior medical leadership roles, with extensive managerial experience regionally and nationally in the NHS, government, private and voluntary sectors.
John has delivered strategic change in clinical and non-clinical environments and has facilitated change and resolved conflict in professional and inter-organisational settings. He has managed complex and sensitive incidents which have included political and communications aspects both nationally and internationally.
John has considerable experience in addressing service failures and professional misconduct in both clinical and wider settings. He has developed services in high risk areas such as safeguarding children, screening and nursing home regulation.
He was one of the early architects of clinical governance and has considerable expertise in this area as well as the development of evidence-based clinical policy and guidelines.
John also has extensive experience of board membership, in the public, private and voluntary sectors both in executive and non-executive roles.
